For fun in the sun, many Coral Springs families will be heading to Pompano Beach for its 2023 Beach Tennis Fest this weekend.
The venue has 10 courts and participants may choose from 16 different categories. Each will need eight doubles to be included in the event line-up.
On the Saturday, there will be the Men’s Doubles Open and Women’s Doubles Open with the winners receiving $600, the runners-up $300, and those coming in third place $200. Beginners, intermediate, and advanced players in men’s, women’s, and mixed categories will also compete.
Sundays play will be for men and women beginners, and for mixed and individual beginners, intermediate, and advanced.
Tickets will be $40 for each game. Swag will include free uniforms for each category, free drawstring sport packs featuring the Pompano Beach graphic design, and free drinks and food for all participants.
Families that enjoy events like this often take pictures of members as they participate in their divisions. These photos often find their way to local Print shops to be included in family newsletters.
The 2023 Beach Tennis Fest at Pompano Beach Pier will take place on the pier’s north side, at 222 North Pompano Beach Boulevard, Pompano Beach, Saturday, June 3 starting at 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Sunday, June 4 ending at 6:00 pm.
