The Cool Sommer Mornings Triathlon/Duathlon/Aquabike and 5K Series Race #1 is scheduled for early June, and this one will be a SciFi movie-themed event.
Amenities will include finisher medals, event T-Shirts sporting the event’s graphic design, and a postrace party with food and beverages.
The Sprint Duathlon will be a one-mile run and a 5K run, with a one-mile bike ride in between. An International Distance Triathlon will be a half-mile swim followed by a 21.6-mile bike ride and a 10K run. The International Distance Aquabike will be a half-mile swim, followed by an eight-mile bike ride and ending with a two-mile run. The Super Fun Mini Triathlon will consist of swimming 200 yards, biking for eight miles and running for two miles.
The Transition area will open and packet pickup and late registration will be in the Highlander Pavilion starting at 5:45 am. The Cool Sommer Mornings 5K starts at 7:15 am. The Triathlon waves will begin at 7:20 am with the Clermont Sprint Duathlon starting at 7:25 am.
Awards will go to the top three overall masters, female and male finishers in each age group in the Sprint Triathlon, top three relay team finishers in the four special teams categories and to the top five male and female Aquabike and Duathlon finishers.
Cool Sommer Mornings Series 1 race will be June 6 at Waterfront Park, 100 3rd Street.
