Clermont runs LEFTOVER

The Florida Run LEFTOVER Trail Run will take place here in Clermont in mid-June.

The race will be a clean house race where participants may receive leftover swag and medals from the races over the last 10 years.

Racers may opt to run either two loops totaling 8 miles or the 1loop around the course totaling 4 miles. The course will be packed dirt, grass and a little sugar sand.

Race participants can expect aid stations along the course at miles four and two, post-race food and drinks, chip timing, throwback bibs and medals and live music.

Awards will go to the first, second and third place female and male overall finishers, first place female and male Masters 50+ and to the top three female and male finishers in eight age groups.

Paper products such as race bibs, trail guides, and printed race instructions are usually purchased at nearby Print shops.

The National Training Center, 1935 Don Wickham Drive will have race packets available from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday June 11 and Lake Louisa State Park will have them available from 6:00 am to 7:00 am on race day.

Registration for the 4 mile will be $40 and $50 for the 8 mile. Both the 4 mile and the 8 mile will begin at 7:00 am.
