The City of Clermont and the Clermont Police Department will present the Scaremont: Halloween on the Trail event to offer the community a fun, family-friendly way to spend Halloween.
Thanks to the Clermont Police Department and participating organizations, Scaremont: Halloween on the Trail will provide a free, safe environment for families with children to enjoy a traditional Halloween trick-or-treating experience. These organizations will offer a variety of trick-or-treating stations set up so that attendees can gather sweet treats while also experiencing fun frights and spooky delights.
There will be a range of different activities offered, including a showing of the animated Halloween movie Hotel Transylvania, beginning at 7 pm. There will be a costume contest as well, with categories of Clermont's Costume Champion for individual costumes and Frightfully Fabulous Family for best family costume.
Organizers request that costumes be family friendly and not too scary, examples being black cats, pumpkins, superheroes, and princesses. Winners will be announced on social media and other online avenues after the event.
Local businesses participating in community events like this may have the opportunity to hand out their Business Cards to attendees who visit their stations during the event.
The Scaremont: Halloween on the Trail will be held on Tuesday, October 27 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. It will take place at Waterfront Park, which is located at 330 3rd Street, Clermont.
