Santas Twilight 5K has in-person and virtual options

Clermont’s Annual Santa’s Twilight 5k will return this year with a remote participation option.

The annual 5k Run/Walk will have its traditional holiday theme. The course will take runners through historic Down Town Clermont, replete with carolers and brightly colored lights.Swag includes glow necklaces, jingle bells, finisher medals with a holiday theme that can be used as keepsake ornaments, and shirts sporting this year’s holiday graphic design. Hot chocolate and holiday cookies will be waiting at the finish line. Registration will be $39 for adults and $30 for runners from the ages of 2 to 17.

Water and first aid stations along the course and will remain open for four hours. The finish line will remain open until the last runner crosses.

Awards will go the top masters, three overall finishers, and the top three female and male finishers in each age category.

From 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on race day, participants may pick up their packets on the corner of 7th and Montrose Streets at Clermont City Hall Park, 685 West Montrose Street. The 5K will begin there at 6:00 pm on December 19.

A virtual option is also available for $35. Runners that choose this option may jog, run or walk on trails, roads or indoor running equipment at their own pace. After completing the distance, runners must submit their data in order to have their swag ready for pick-up or to be sent.
