The Lady of the Lakes Renaissance Faire is taking place in Tavares over two weekends this November. It is hosted by the Lake County Educational Foundation.
Visitors will have the chance to experience what life was like in 16th Century England. There will be activities such as human chess and combat jousting. At least 60 vendors and artisans will be on hand to sell their handmade and unique items, many of them related to the Renaissance or created in the manner of craftsmen of the day.
There will also be skill demonstrations, dancers, town criers, roaming gypsies, actors, and the Renegade Pirate Singers. In addition, Education Day will allow groups from elementary, middle, and high school to spend time with historic characters and learn about the day-to-day life of people during that era.
Sponsorships are available from $1,500 to $10,000 for those who want to support the event and the foundation.
This will likely attract people from all over the area, including those from nearby Clermont. Local banner printing companies may be asked to decorate the venue or post Banners in nearby communities.
The event will take place in Tavares on Lake Idamere from November 1 to 2 and November 7 to 9. Tickets are $13 for adults or $7 for those between the ages of 4 and 11. Call 352-325-1265 to find out more about this event.Get a Free Quote for Banners
