Local service club celebrates its diamond anniversary

‘Light up Rotary is the Rotary Club’ of South Lake County's 60th anniversary gala, and is taking place just over a month from now. Proceeds from the event will benefit Service of Youth Development and the Rotary Foundation.

The theme of this year's gala is ‘Service above self’. The evening will start off with an hour-long cocktail reception featuring an open bar. This will be followed by a three-course sit-down dinner, Rotary awards presentations, a ‘Dutch’ auction, and the introduction of the latest Paul Ferris Fellows. There will also be plenty of entertainment, including dancing, a contest for best dress, and the handing out of several door prizes.

The Rotary Club of South Lake raises funds for many local organizations and provides a host of help in the community. It also brings business leaders together, promotes leadership, and provides educational opportunities for its members.

The gala may be advertised in the community with the help of Clermont Stationery printers. They often provide materials such as Flyers and Booklets to market upcoming events.

Light Up Rotary is being held at Gabby's Gem of the Hills Banquet Facility on February 20 from 6:30 pm to 1:00 am. Tickets are $100 each or $150 for a couple. To learn more about this event, visit the Rotary Club of South Lake County's website.
