Local college foundation warms up for Shamrock Shuffle

Lake-Sumter State College Foundation will be holding its Shamrock Shuffle in early March.

The Shuffle will include a 10k, 5k and one-mile fun run. A virtual runner option will also be available.

The course will start on Clermont's LSSC South Lake Campus and will go on the Hancock Extension of the Lake Trail before heading back to the campus.

Gift Bags will go to all registrants and T-Shirts featuring the event's Logo Design and finisher medals will be guaranteed to those runners who sign up before next Saturday, February 17. Racers and walkers over 21 can enjoy green beer in the beer garden after the race. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers.

All proceeds will benefit Lake-Sumter State College scholarships and education programs funded through the college’s foundation.

Registration for the one-mile fun run will be $20. Other fees are $30 for the 5k, $40 for the 10k, and $30 for the virtual racers. These prices will increase on March 1.

Vendor tables may be rented for $25, and $250 Mile Marker, $500 Pacer, $1,000 Road Runner, and the Co-Sponsor $2,000 sponsorship levels are also available. All sponsors will receive recognition at the event, as well as on event T-Shirts, social media posts, and the foundation's website.

LSSSC Shamrock Shuffle 2024 will take place Saturday, March 2 beginning at 8:00 am on the Clermont campus at 1250 North Hancock Road.
