The Clermont Performing Arts Center (CPAC) and Starbrite Musical Productions will be presenting an evening of The Music of John Denver. Ted Vigil will be paying tribute to the country icon.
Flyers, Brochures, and poster printing of Ted have him posing as Denver wearing his hair the way he did in his early days. He also dons replicas of the artist’s cowboy hat, shirt, and glasses, and flashes the star’s iconic grin.
Vigil not only looks eerily like John Denver, but his singing is uncannily similar too. Even Steve Weisberg, John Denver’s lead guitar player agrees, and one fan has compared him to Denver reincarnated, according to promoters.
The evening will open with the classic ‘Rocky Mountain High’ and will probably end with ‘Thank God I’m a Country Boy’. Vigil will be singing other Denver classics such as ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’, ‘Annie’s Song’, and ‘Calypso’. The audience will be reminiscing to songs like ‘I’m Leaving on a Jet Plane’, ‘Sunshine on my Shoulders’, and ‘Back Home Again’ in what is sure to offer plenty of singalong opportunities for those in attendance.
This nostalgic evening will take place Saturday, July 22 on the Clermont Performing Arts Center Main Stage, 3700 S Hwy 27. The curtain will go up at 7:00 pm. Tickets range from $36.92 to $47.94.
