Clermont welcomes spring with seafood and wine festival

The 12th Annual Wine & Seafood Festival will usher in spring the end of March.

Guests can look forward to grilled salmon, grouper, alligator skewers, and crab cakes; fried fish, shrimp, oysters and calamari; and steamed mussels, lobster tails, crab legs and Middle Neck Clams. Other non-seafood items will also be available.

Everyone is encouraged to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the scenery and live music. Friday’s line-up will be Shawline and the Dave Capp Project with France Neil. Saturday’s entertainment will be David Julia followed by the Buddy Blues Band, and Sunday will be The Mike Quick Band and Beautiful Bobby Blackmon & the B3 Blues Band. The Wine & Cheese Bar will serve cheese plates and the winery’s own wines. Live entertainment will be available from noon until 4:00 pm all three days.

Arts and crafts pop-up tents will feature hand-crafted and fine-arts items offered by the area’s artisans. The venue will also offer corn hole and other games out on the lawn.

The winery will offer tours every 15 to 20 minutes and samplings of six to eight award winning varieties of wine during the festival Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Sunday, March 22 from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm at Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards, 19239 U.S 27 North.
