Clermont stomps grapes

The 2018 24th Annual Harvest Grape Stomp is coming in early August. Part of the proceeds will go to Lake and Sumter Counties’ Boys and Girls Clubs.

This three-day family event will have guests of all ages actually competing in grape stomping competitions. Families and friends of the winners will be taking pictures of them for possible future poster printing.

The Outdoor Stage will have the Ronnie Duncan Band, Baby Blues & the No Attitude Band, The Dave Capp Project, and Nightly Groove Band. The Wine and Cheese Bar Stage will feature Jeff Whitfield, Joe Hand, and the Rusty & Laurie Wright Duo.

This year’s Stomp will include the JustFuntastic amusement company. Kids can enjoy multiple bounce houses, inflatables and a rock wall. Everyone can munch on summer treats and enjoy beverages at the concession stands.

A number of cornhole games will be set up on the grounds, and guests are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs to watch the festivities and listen to the Outdoor Stage bands.

More substantial food and beverages will also be available at the food court and beverage bars. The food pavilion offers Mexican, Greek, and American, plus BBQ, salads, seafood, and wraps.

Harvest Grape Stomp will be at Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards, 19239 U.S. 27 North, August 10 and 11 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, and August 12 from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm.
