Clermont runners and walkers are invited to take part in the first annual Jack and Allie Superhero 5k coming at the end of September.
Race participants are encouraged to come dressed like their favorite villain or superhero and enter the costume contest. Prizes will be awarded to best kid's, woman's, male and team costumes.
The adult Jack and Allie Superhero 5k will cost $40, and Superhero Youth 5k will be $10. Youth registration will not include the swag t-shirt or finisher medal. There is also a Virtual Jack and Allie Superhero 5k option for $38.
In-person adult 5k registrations come with 5k T-Shirts, professional timing, finisher medals, post-race beverages and snacks and awards will go to the top three female and male finishers, top one female and male masters, and top tree female and male finishers in eight age divisions.
All donations and profits will go to support Jack and Allie, a non-profit that aids Central Florida children who have special needs.
Starting at 11:00 am Waterfront Park will begin the event's Jack and Allie Family Fun Day. Attendees will get treated to live music, animal encounters, and bounce houses. Items will be for sale from local vendors and snacks will be available for purchase from local food trucks.
Organizations that set up events like this often get Print shops to create an event graphic design to use on their T-Shirts.
The first annual Jack and Allie Superhero 5k and Family Fun Day will take place Sunday September 28th at 330 Third Street.
