Clermont runs for leftovers

Florida Run will be holding a Leftover Trail Run here in Clermont in mid-June.

Registration for the 4-mile run will be $35, and $40 for the 8-mile run. Many will be signing up for Tetra Quest, a 2025 Florida Run trail series where runners may register for all four races - Manatee Springs, Lake Louisa, Leftover and Colt Creek.

Both the 4-mile and 8-mile runs will begin at 7:00 am.

Awards for The Leftover Trail Run will be leftover medals, bibs and swag from races run over the last 10 years.

Individual awards will go to 1st, 2nd and 3rd female and male overall finishers and to the top three female and male winners in eight age categories.

The chip-timed course will be a loop around Dixie and Hammond Lakes. The 4-mile run will be one loop and two loops for the 8-mile run. Aid stations will be located at miles two and four. Mile four will also have restrooms.

A post-race party will have drinks, food and live music. Food and drink vendors at events like this often have local Print shops Print their name or logo on their paper products.

Race Packets will be available at the park's National Training Center from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, June 13th and 6:00 am to 7:00 Saturday at the event site at Lake Louisa State Park, 7305 US Highway 27. The Leftover Trail Run will take place June 14th.
