Clermont runs for Earth Day

Clermont runners will be heading to the AdventHealth Earth Day Recycle Run in late April, with three different races to choose from.

Pre-registration fees for will be $25 for the 2 Miler, $39 for the 5 Miler, and $65 for the 7 Mile Challenge. These prices will go up after March 31, so runners who want to save money should book their place by the end of this week.

Groups that register together often like to have local Print shops create a logo or graphic and Print them on matching T-Shirts.

This event will be an opportunity for Sommer Sports to recycle leftover swag from the races it has hosted over the last 41 years. Runners that finish the 2-mile or 5-mile races will get to choose race shirts from over a dozen different events and finisher medals from even more past races. Those that finish the 7-mile challenge will get to choose three medals and two shirts. Awards for the 2-mile and 5-mile races will also be recycled from passed events.

This race will be on an out-and-back course on the South Lake Trail in Clermont's Waterfront Park, 330 3rd Street on Saturday, April 19. The 2 Miler will begin at 7:15 am, the 5 Miler at 7:45 am, and those taking on the 7 Mile Challenge will run both races.
