The first yearly Clermont Signature event is coming early in February, in the form of the annual Great Clermont Campout.
Families and friends are invited to sleep under the stars in a safe environment. All guests will receive T-Shirts sporting the event’s graphic design.
The $40 per family for four registration fee ($5 for each extra person) will include dinner for the first night and breakfast the following morning. This does not include Saturday’s lunch, so families will want to pack a picnic lunch for that meal.
The campout will have a Family Sign contest, with winners receiving awards. Families can bring Signs that they have created to introduce the campsite to their neighbors. These Signs will be displayed in front of the tents for the duration of the event. The theme this year will be ‘Old School Camping’.
There will be two movies on Saturday. The first will be ‘Cars 3’ for the younger kids and will be shown during the dinner hour. The movie for the older crowd will be The Goonies and it will be shown later in the evening, with another prize up for grabs for the family that dresses most like the cast of the film.
The 2019 Great Clermont Campout will be Saturday, February 2 from 11:00 am until Sunday morning, February 3:00rd at 11:00 am at Clermont’s Waterfront Park 330 3rd Street. Spaces are limited.
