Clermont Performing Arts Center waxes nostalgic

Over the next three months, performances at the Clermont Performing Arts Center’s Mainstage will bring on the nostalgia with concerts featuring Gilligan’z Island, a Happy Days reunion, Herman’s Hermits, Jay and the Americans and Gary Lewis and the Playboys.

To start the new year, the Center is presenting a spoof on the TV show, Gilligan’s Island, with a show called Gilligan’z Island. The Skipper, Ginger Grant, Mary Anne and The Professor will rollick around the island with Gilligan trying to get back to the mainland. These performances will be January 6th, 7th and 8th at 8:00 pm and January 9th at 3:00 pm.

On January 15th beginning at 7:30 pm, Donny Most and Misty Rowe will have a Happy Days Reunion with their show Together Again. The two will sing tunes from the Swing Era and the 50s.

February 3rd at 7:30 pm, the Center will feature Herman’s Hermits with Peter Noone (I’m Into Something Good), Dennis Tufano – lead singer for the Buckinghams (Kind of a Drag), and The Cyrkle (Red Rubber Ball).

On March 24th, the Center will present Jay and the Americans with their hits such as “This Magic Moment” and “Come a Little bit Closer”. Gary Lewis and the Playboys will perform some of their hits such as “This Diamond Ring” and “Everybody Loves a Clown.”
