The City of Clermont and the South Lake Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their annual Clermont Sips and Salsa Festival toward the end of September.
The 5-hour event will feature live Salsa dancing and music provided by regional and local bands. Its cultural cuisine will be Latin-inspired dishes and drinks. The venue will resemble a high-energy fiesta with twinkling lights and colorful decor.
Vendors will be selling Latin-themed merchandise and kids can enjoy a kids' zone.

The highly anticipated Chihuahua races will be held in heats around a mini racetrack, with the winner of each heat advancing to the finals. Pet-friendly prizes will be awarded to the winner of the finals, and the owner of the pint-sized pup winner will certainly enjoy bragging rights.
A domino tournament will take place during the festivities. Small teams or pairs will be using double-six classic domino sets and vie for prizes.
All dog breeds area invited to enter the Costume Dog contest. Dogs must be currently vaccinated, be on leashes, and prizes will be awards for best-dressed and runner up. The contest will begin at 5:30 pm.
This year's Clermont Sips and Salsa Festival will take place at the Clermont Waterfront Park, 330 3rd Street, September 20th from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
