Clermont runners will have two races to choose from on February 29.
From 7:00 am until 9:00 am, there will be the Showcase of Citrus 5K Flodash. The course is a 3.1-mile romp through the citrus groves during peak season. Runners and walkers can enjoy the sunrise as they head for the finish line. Registrants will receive event Mugs with the event Logo Design as part of their swag, and free fresh slushies or beer at the finish line.
Awards will be given at 8:15 am to the top three female and male overall finishers, and top three female and male finishers in the seven age divisions.
Participants are invited to stay after the run to enjoy picking fresh citrus and experiencing 4x4 monster truck rides. This race will be at the Showcase of Citrus, 5010 US-27.
From noon until 11:59 pm the Orlando Florida Warrior Dash will take place at Revolution Off Road, 4000 State Road 33. The event will have one mile, 5K and 10K runs. The one-mile will have five to eight obstacles; the 5K will have 12 obstacles and the 10K will have 20 to 26 obstacles. Runners will attempt to conquer the likes of El Capitan, Mrs. Muddington’s Mounds, Warrior Roast, Alcatraz, Climb and Punishment, Oscar the Ouch and Muddy Mayhem.
Participants will receive medals, finisher shirts, festival access tickets, photos, and 10K runners will also receive special finisher pins.
