Clermont and South Lake Chamber of Commerce will be bringing the annual Sips & Salsa festival back to Clermont this weekend. The event is to celebrate the community and enjoy all things salsa.
Local businesses, arts and crafters and food vendors will be on site selling their products, goods and services. Many vendors at events like this like to bring Business Cards in case any passersby want to get in touch with them later.
The annual salsa making competition will be in full swing. Salsa aficionados will make their specialties onsite and will vie for prizes in Most Original, Spiciest Salsa, and Best Overall categories. The public will vote for the People’s Choice Award.
Local dogs are gearing up to win the Chihuahuas races. All small breed pups waying under 15lb are encouraged enter and to wear costumes. Awards will be given to the top three finishers and to the best-dressed entrant. Races will start at 4:00 pm.
Those who have mastered the art of dominoes will be entering the annual tournament. DJs Sammy and Guerrero will be playing Latin music, while Fuego, Waldo, Mambo Lebron and Awilda Hernandez will provide live entertainment on the Main and Community stages. Mini lessons and dance performers will be located on the grounds.
The 2019 Clermont Sips & Salsa festival will be this Saturday, September 14 from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm in Downtown Clermont.
