Clermont Garden Club to hold flower show

This dawn of spring means it is time for the Clermont Garden Club to hold its 2016 Flower Show titled ‘Water, Water’.

The event will be open to the public and free. Members and invited guests will be exhibiting in the design and horticulture sections of the show.

Awards of first (blue), second (red), and third (yellow) ribbons will be given in each class. An Award of Design Excellence will be presented to the best exhibit in the design division, and a Petite Award will be given to the winner of the section A or ‘Little Waters’ section.

A Sweepstake Award will be presented to the exhibitor who receives the most blue ribbons in the design and horticulture sections combined. The winner of the horticulture division will get the Award of Horticultural Excellence. An Award of Merit will go to the best of the blue ribbon winners in F and G sections, and the Grower’s Choice Award will go to the best of the blue ribbon winners in the Horticulture A, B, and C sections.

Professional and amateur photographers may want to take pictures of some of the more colorful entries to use later in possible poster printing or maybe Stationery printing.

The event will be held Friday, April 8 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm and Saturday, April 9 beginning at 10:00 am and going until 1:00 pm at the Garden Club Building 849 West Ave, Clermont.
