The City of Clermont has scheduled its annual family campout and a scavenger hunt for couples, both in early February.
The Great Clermont Campout will include rock wall climbing, paddleboarding, arts and crafts, and group games. Campers may also enjoy free-play sports and family-oriented competitions, including a "Best Touchdown Celebration." The movie "Little Giants" will be shown on the venue's big screen.
Registration fees are $60 per family of up to four people plus $10 per extra camper. This includes a 20x20-foot camping space, Sunday breakfast and Saturday night dinner, a souvenir item, and T-Shirts. Pictures of families in their matching attire taken at events like this often go to nearby Print shops to become part of families’ yearly Calendars.
The Great Clermont Campout will be from 11:00 am on Saturday, February 1 to 11:00 am on Sunday, February 2 at Waterfront Park, 330 3rd Street.
Meanwhile, the Clermont Scavenger Hunt for Couples will be an interactive event for couples with a self-guided hunt of tasks to complete while exploring Clermont.
Registration is by donation and, since a Digital Date Nite Box containing tasks and instructions will be sent after registration worth $20, couples are asked to donate at least that amount.
Clermont Scavenger Hunt for Couples will be Sunday, February 2 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm beginning at 2525 Oakley Seaver Drive, or at any other stop along the route.
