February has something for both families and singles, as the time comes for the City of Clermont’s second annual Great Clermont Campout. Clermont families are invited to grab their tents and sleeping Bags and head for the park.
Activities will include backyard family games, a bonfire, a movie under the stars and a flashlight walk along a trail. The registration fee will include a commemorative T-shirt, dinner, and breakfast.
Earlier in the month, Clermont singles will have a chance to mingle in a 5K run. The run will be untimed and racing bibs will have contact information tear-a-ways that can be given to those that the runner would like to connect with later. Runners will also receive T-Shirts, swag Bags, and medals. Stations along the course will be passing out emoji stickers for runners to build personality files to affix to their bibs.
Online Flyers state that the campout is slated for Saturday, February 17 starting at 11:00 am and continuing until 11:00 am on Sunday, February 8th at Waterfront Park, 330 3rd Street, Clermont. Space is limited and admission fee will be $40 per a family of four or less. Additional family members will be $5 per person. Last year, the event was sold out.
The Singles Run will be February 10 also at Waterfront Park. Starting time will be 9:00 am.
