Many salsa connoisseurs and their chihuahuas are looking forward to the South Lake Chamber of Commerce Clermont Sips & Salsa Festival being held in mid-September.
The free festival will feature family-activities including a kids’ zone and domino tournament, live salsa dancing, and music.
Attendees may stroll through food vendors, businesses, and art and craft booths. Businesses will be displaying and selling their goods and services, while art and craft gurus will be selling their one-of-a-kind creations.
In total, 10 salsa competitors will compete for spiciest salsa, most original, best overall, and the People’s Choice awards. Attendees will receive small tastings of each entrant’s special salsa, and then vote for their favorite. Awards will be presented on the Main Stage at 9:00 pm.
Chihuahua races this year will begin at 4:00 pm and are always popular. All small breeds of dogs under 15lb are invited to enter. Trophies will go to first, second, and third place winners and a prize will go to best-dressed pup. The field is limited to the first 50 entries.
Three sponsorship levels are still available. Logos placed on the Chamber’s website will be part of the perks of each level. The $1,000 and $2,500 levels also include the company’s Logo Design on all promotional materials, and event Posters and Postcards.
Clermont Sips & Salsa Festival 2022 will take place Saturday, September 17 from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Waterfront Park, 330 3rd Street.
