Clermont enjoys movies at Christmas on the Farm

Southern Hill Farms will be presenting its annual “Christmas on the Farm – a Christmas Story” in mid-December.

Fun on the farm will include a Christmas village, carousel, covered playground, kids’ activities, s’mores, and fire pits. Holiday goodies such as popcorn, hot chocolate and candy will be available at the Southern Hill Farms Eatery and Bakery. Handcrafted items such as candles, sugar scrub, lip balm and local raw honey will be on offer in the Southern Hill Market.

The weekend before the event, comedy Christmas movies will be shown, with “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” on December 9 and “Elf” on December 10. Two classic seasonal movies will follow during the Christmas on the Farm event. A special PG-rated Christmas Story movie will begin on the lawn at 7:30 pm on December 16, and It’s a Wonderful Life will be shown December 17. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, and lawn and folding chairs, wear their Christmas pajamas, and dress warmly. Bug spray may be a good idea.

Many families often take pictures of their members in their Christmas attire to Stationery printers to be made into Holiday Cards.

Parking passes will be $20 per vehicle. Be sure to check the farm’s website before heading out in case the event has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

Christmas on the Farm will be December 16 and 17 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Southern Hill Farms, 16651 Schofield Road.
