Clermont enjoys last of summer with twoevents

Clermont can look forward to an outdoor kick-off and a festival over the next few weeks.

The Lake Sumter Seminole Club will be holding its annual Pigskin Kickoff Fundraiser at the end of July.
The evening will begin with food and drinks at Legends Golf Club’s All Stars restaurant.

Then, everyone can sit back and enjoy a cornhole tournament and an FSU trivia contest. The special guests for the evening will be FSU golf instructor Amy Bond and Spearatics’ Chris Frazier. There will be a 50/50 draw, silent auction and T-Shirts sporting the new Lake Sumter Seminole graphic design will be available to buy. Tickets will be $35. Proceeds from the event will go to scholarships.

The 2023 Pigskin Kickoff will be Saturday, July 29 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Legends Golf Clermont at 1690 Legendary Boulevard.

The 5th annual Clermont Sips & Salsa Festival will be a free community fiesta with cultural cuisine, and lots of dancing to live salsa music. Many family-oriented activities will include a kids’ zone, domino tournament, and dog costume contests.

Proud dog owners whose pooches win contests like this often take photos of their winning canines to local Print shops for duplicates to send to family and friends.

The 2023 Clermont Sips & Salsa Festival will take place Saturday, September 23 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Waterfront Park, 330 3rd Street.
