Poochapalooza will be coming toward the end of February. Dogs with up-to-date vaccinations and their owners are invited to a day of pooch pampering, and hiking.
Dogs and owners can meander around Lake Louisa State Park and enjoy a short hike. This will have various obstacles along the way for dogs of all capabilities, and there will be a drawing for prizes.
Local vendors will be on hand with merchandise and advice for pet owners. This may be a good time for guests to gather vendors’ Business Cards for later contact. Some of the vendors will be Scentsy (an independent consulting firm), Clermont Animal Hospital and South Lake Animal League.
Pictures of dogs and their families can be arranged at the Wise Images Photography and Angie Kerins Photography. Attendees interested in dog grooming can get advice and set up appointments at Pet Styling by Gerianne and K-9 Crew-Cuts.
Animal rescues such as Boston Terrier Rescue of Florida and Florida Boxer Rescue will be on hand. Healthy doggy treats will be available at Doggy Delights, while Mister Softee will also be there with ice cream options for people and pooches.
Poochapalooza will take place Saturday, February 24 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at Lake Louisa State Park. The event will be held next to the parking area at the main beach. The park is located at 7305 S. US Highway 27. Dogs must be kept on leashes of six feet or shorter
