Clermont celebrates fall and Halloween
Historic Downtown Clermont is putting on its annual Harvest Festival and a Haunted House at the end of October.
The Harvest Festival has been planned as an event for the whole family, with over 100 vendors offering goods and services for people of all ages along with a large variety of food choices. There will also be a Kids’ Zone with a host of activities for the little ones and live music from a variety of acts performing throughout the day. The highlight of the festival will be a costume contest, which is open to both humans and pets. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the spooky theme.
Pictures of pet and human costume contest winners often go to local printing services to be added to family newsletters. Harvest Festival will run from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 25 in downtown Clermont.
The Reign of Terror Haunted House will once again have its lawn decorated with faux tombstones and other scary paraphernalia like crosses and ghosts. Admission to the Haunted House will be $10 per person. Inside, visitors will be offered a trip through 140 different rooms, with live actors, along with dozens of animatronics and puppets, some of them meant to scare while others thrill with feats of magic.
The Reign of Terror Haunted House will take place for three nights from Thursday, October 30 to Saturday, November 1 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Brewer & Sons Chapel and Funeral Home at 1018 West Avenue, Clermont.
