Clermont celebrates 2021 Earth Day

In a couple of weeks, Clermont families and groups can get out and enjoy spring by attending the upcoming Clermont Earth Day Lake Clean-up and Festival.

From 7:30 am to 10:30 am on the day, groups will be volunteering in cleaning up on Lake Hiawatha Preserve. Although the event will be free, registration is required. Preregistration at ClermontFl.gov guarantees T-Shirts sporting this year’s graphic design.

Beginning at 10:00 am and going until 2:00 pm, the Earth Day Festival will take place in the preserve.
There will be environmental education displays along with local experts on hand to answer any questions. An Earth Kids Zone will offer activities for the little ones. A DJ will provide the music along with other entertainment such as Tai Chi demonstrations and aerial performances. Eco the Frog will be meeting and greeting everyone.

Many local non-profit organizations will be on site selling food as their fundraisers. Many Earth-friendly groups will be displaying products and services and handing out free food and giveaways. Attendees at events such as this often collect vendor Business Cards so they can contact them later in order to buy their products or services.

Clermont Earth Day and Lake Clean Up be April 24 at the Lake Hiawatha Preserve, 450 12th Street. Those interested should go to the city’s website to register and learn more.
