Annual event collects vegetables for the needy

Clermont will host family friendly events next month

The city of Clermont is hosting two events next month that will attract local families

The first of them is the National Night Out celebration, which is a nationwide event that encourages families to get out into their communities. It will be held at Waterfront Park and there will be free food, appearances by Star Wars characters, bounce houses, and police and fire demonstrations. Those who are interested in attending and want more information should contact Maritza Rivera at 352-394-3500.

The next event will no doubt be bittersweet for some of those attending. The Back to School Bash is taking place at the Livewell Fitness Center later on in the month. It is set to feature a bounce house, an inflatable obstacle course, games, and a Kids' Fun Run. There will also be food trucks and drawings for gym memberships. Those attending are also asked to bring a donation of school supplies. This is a free event and to find out more about it, call 352-241-7144.

Both of these events will probably be widely advertised in the city by items such as Posters and Flyers obtained from a Clermont printing company.

National Night Out will be held on August 4 from 5:00 - 8:00 at Waterfront Park, while the Back to School Bash is taking place on August 29 from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
