Adventhealth will be holding its annual Adventhealth Florida’s Fastest 5K toward the end of January.
The USATF-certified distance course will have a gain of 46 feet, and a 126-foot loss, making a total of 80 feet of elevation loss. It will have three turns, no traffic, and a premium pavement. The course has been arranged to help participants beat their current personal records. Over half of Clermont runners from the last two years have achieved their 5K personal records.
Swag will include sublimated singlets sporting the event’s Logo Design, custom medals, admission to a postrace party, and two free beverage tickets.
Awards will be given to top three overall finishers, top three finishers in each of the 14 age divisions, and to the Masters first place finisher.
Registration for the in-person run walk will be $40 and will increase after January 22. A virtual run will be $38.
Each car will need to have either a valid annual State Park Pass or parking pass to park on race day. Those needing passes can buy them a week before the race and at packet pick-up at Dash Sports, 741 W. Montrose St, between 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Friday, January 22, or between 6:00 am and 7:00 am in the event parking area on race day.
Adventhealth Florida’s Fastest 5K will take place at Lake Louisa State Park on Saturday, January 23 beginning at 7:30 am.
