The Cape Coral Animal Shelter (CCAS) will be holding a rescue run this October to support the town’s first no-kill shelter.
The CCAS Run is an event that invites the community to support a worthy cause while doing physical activity. Dogs are allowed at the 5K, though the pets must be put on a standard leash. Retractable leashes will not be permitted at the fundraiser. Those who register for the rescue run by October 1 will receive a commemorative T-shirt for the event. Participants can also arrive early to join the CCAS at a pre-run breakfast.
The CCAS is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe location for homeless cats and dogs. The group aims to eliminate the suffering of unwanted animals by educating owners about topics like the importance of spaying or neutering pets. All animal guests will receive medical care and rehabilitation training to help pets transition into new loving homes. Groups like this can use brochure printing to spread information about their cause during events.
The 5K will be held at the CCAS on Saturday, October 24. Anyone interested in joining the rescue run can register for $30 in advance. The race will start at 8:00 am, though runners can check-in at 7:00 am. People can support the CCAS by either donating on its website or applying for a volunteer position.
