Learn to row in Cape Coral

The sport of rowing is gaining in popularity in the Cape Coral area, so much so that the local club has added additional lessons next month.

The Cape Coral Rowing Club (CCRC) is a not-for-profit community sports group that offers lessons and promotes crew rowing.
In 2007, a waterfront property was donated, and financial assistance made available, making it possible for the establishment of the club. The organization then worked to survive through tough times, including a major relocation and the devastation of Hurricane Ian in 2022.

Over the years, hundreds of people have learned to row from the organization’s qualified instructors. Crew rowing is a team sport that is technical and requires both physical and mental abilities. The Cape Coral club has helped develop competitive rowers, including youth who participate in rowing at the collegiate level.

Recent high demand and interest in the summer learn-to-row program has led to the added Fall session. There will be approximately seven sessions comprising 16 hours of instruction over three weeks. The lessons are open to those with little or no experience. Organizations that offer community classes such as this may choose to use poster printing to advertise their programs.

The Fall adult rowing lessons begin on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 6 pm at the Cape Coral Rowing Club. Pre-registration is required.
