Cape Coral part of unique music festival

More than 60 free performances by top singers and songwriters will take place at the 2026 Island Hopper Songwriter Fest, in and around Cape Coral.

Southwest Florida neighborhoods, islands, and beaches will host cozy stages for artists to share their stories through music and lyrics.

Cape Coral is the second location on the calendar, and will host two days of performances at several venues.

The music festival is presented by Broadcast Music Inc., (BMI), which for 11 years has brought its best-singer songwriters to the 10-day event.

The acclaimed music festival attracts artists from multiple genres including folk, acoustic, alternative, rock and more.

Fans will experience shows in small venues, including restaurants and bars, on a boat deck while cruising the shoreline and a resort patio. The unique and intimate locales will allow the artists to engage with the audience and share the messages behind their words and music.

Dining establishments that host musical performances such as this often use flyer printing to advertise the shows.

While the majority of shows will be free to attend, this year, a few special performances, including two in Cape Coral, will require tickets.

The Island Hopper songwriter Fest will be held from September 18 to September 26, 2026, with shows in Cape Coral held September 21 and 22, 2026. Further information, and a full schedule of performances is available online.
