Patrons will be on the edge of their seats as Agatha Christie’s top-selling mystery novel comes alive on stage in Bradenton next month.
And Then There Were None is the chilling tale of eight strangers who are invited to an isolated island where they join a butler and a housekeeper. Gradually, the guests begin to die under suspicious circumstances, leaving the survivors with anxiety, secrets and accusations. Each of the characters eventually die in a way that is mentioned in a well-known nursery rhyme, derived from a very old minstrel song.
Christie’s novel was first published in 1939 and has sold well over 100 million Copies, making it one of the top-selling Books of all time.
A cast of amateur local performers will put their talented spin on the thriller and its characters in a stage adaptation at the Manatee Performing Arts Center, Bradenton Kiwanis Theater.
It will be presented by Florida Cultural Group’s Action Through Acting (ATA), a social impact initiative. ATA works to raise awareness, encourage discussion and respond to area issues.
Groups that act as a catalyst for community theater often use poster printing to promote their presentations.
And Then There Were None will be presented April 9, 10, 11 and 15, 2026 at 7:30 pm, with a matinée performance April 12, 2026 at 2 pm.
