Large development begins construction in Bradenton
Construction has begun on a large, mixed-use development in West Bradenton, marking yet another significant milestone in the area’s dynamic growth.
Redstone Investments and CASTO broke ground in August on SeaFlower Village Center, located in Bradenton’s most rapidly growing western side. The 1,175-acre development is set to include 4,000 homes, 250 hotel rooms, and over 350,000 square feet of retail and office space, all designed to be easily accessible by community residents. Initial plans set aside 400 acres for over 1,000 single-family homes and 600 apartments. Building contractors plan to include design types such as coastal, craftsman, West Indies-influenced, and traditional farmhouse designs.
The development’s commercial offerings will be anchored by a Publix grocery store and will also include restaurants, office space, and a hotel. This first building phase includes over 140,000 square feet of space. Early confirmed commercial tenants include Dutch Bros. Coffee, Whataburger, Playa Bowls, and Potbelly Sandwich Works. New businesses often highlight opening day with poster printing or similar graphic design services.
Jon Schwartz, President of Development at Redstone Investments, commented recently on the new work:
The project is expected to be a significant economic catalyst, attracting new visitors and jobs to an already busy region. Completion is expected in late 2026.
