The Manatee Village Historical Park in Bradenton will mark five decades with a special family celebration next month.
Organizations that plan large outdoor events such as this frequently use banner printing to draw attention to activity locations.
The 50 Years at the Village celebration will include crafts, entertainment, food trucks, a contest and special ceremonies.
Opened on July 4, 1076, the historical park was created to promote and perpetuate the heritage of Manatee County. This is achieved through museum displays as well as the original and replicated buildings on the park’s four acres.
Century-old oak trees line the park, where visitors can see the county’s oldest recorded cemetery, walk through a settler’s home or view permanent and pop-up exhibits in the Wiggins General Store.
For the 50-year anniversary celebration, special events include a build-off contest for all ages. Participants are invited to use one of the historic buildings in the park as an incentive to create a 3D model in the medium of their choice and the public will vote on the entries.
The historic 1887 church on the grounds will also play a part in the celebration as many as eight couples can register to renew their vows.
50 Years at the Village will be held July 11, 2026, from 10 am to 2 pm at Manatee Village Historical Park in Bradenton. Admission is free.
