Manatee County offers month of pet adoption

For the whole month of August, Clear the Shelter will be at Manatee County Animal Services (MCAS) hosting its sixth national drive for pet adoption.

The group will also be working with the non-profit organization Friends of Manatee County Animal Services (FoMCAS) to raise funds for such necessities as medical care, food, and other amenities for their sheltered animals. Also working in conjunction with this event is News Channel 8 WFLA.

Clear the Shelter been responsible for over 410,000 pet adoptions across the USA, and hopes to increase their success with this August event. Residents interested in adopting pets should expect to pay for licensing, sprayings, tagging, and pet vaccinations upon adopting their new pet at this event.

Residents interested in adoption by other means are welcome to visit the Bradenton or the Palmetto adoption center. Residents must also keep in mind that an appointment is needed to visit these locations.

The funds attained from this event will be utilized for the greater good of FoMCAS, which plans to work alongside MCAS to provide a happy and healthy life for sheltered animals.

MCAS receives around 12 animals in a single day, achieving a saving rate of 95%. The organization’s overall goal is to provide a safe environment for animals, encourage healthy pet ownership, promote pet adoption into loving homes, and decrease the number of homeless pets.

In preparation for grand events like this, organizers often consult banner printing companies to help draw attention to what is happening.
