The 10th Annual Spur Impact Leadership Summit is taking place in Wilmington this summer.
The one-day event is designed to connect professionals from different fields, backgrounds and age groups and provide opportunities to learn about leadership, professional development and specific industries. It will include a mix of keynote speeches and breakout sessions. Attendees often exchange Business Cards at this type of event.
The opening keynote will invite participants to try the 8-Minute Ripple, an exercise designed to prompt short but meaningful conversations. The afternoon keynote will focus on flexible communication styles and how to communicate effectively in different settings, and the final speech will discuss the importance of collaboration for successful leadership. Attendees will also be able to choose from two breakout sessions in each of three time slots. Breakout topics include finding the right volunteer opportunities, handling and learning from rejection and turning connections into valuable relationships.
Tickets are available online now for $225 per person. This includes the conference, lunch and the post-summit happy hour. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, with packages ranging from $500 to $10,000. The Spur Impact Leadership Summit will be on Tuesday, August 4, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, at the George Campus of Delaware Technical Community College in Wilmington.
