The Brandywine Festival of the Arts is celebrating its 65th anniversary in Wilmington this September.
The two-day festival features more than 200 artists exhibiting their work. This year’s featured artist is Brian Magargal, who paints scenes from the Mid-Atlantic that reflect his personality. He is committed to selling prints of his work to make art more affordable. Artists often use banner printing services to display their names at their tables at this type of event.
Food will be available from a selection of vendors, including Koi on the Go, Tom’s Handcrafted Pizza Cones, Sherri’s Crab Cakes, and Cinnamon Bun Exchange. Art vendors will have pieces in a variety of styles and materials available, including textiles, glass, ceramics, paintings, and photography. A kids’ tent with crafts, face painting, and other activities will also be available.
Festival admission is $5 per person, which can be paid by cash or Venmo. Admission is free for kids under 12. Dogs on leashes are welcome, but pet owners should consider whether their dogs handle crowds well. Details about sponsorship packages and vendor applications are available on the festival website.
The Brandywine Festival of the Arts will be on Saturday, September 12 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Sunday, September 13 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Brandywine Park in Wilmington. It will take place rain or shine.
