The Phoenix Theater Company has several new plays coming this spring. With new dramas and a Shakespeare production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the theater serves the Waterbury area and the surrounding towns.
Cayuga Canal Girls a new play will be shown on March 20, 21, 27, 28 at 8 pm, and March 22 & 29 at 3 pm. It is about five female childhood friends that get together in Seneca Falls for a funeral. Secrets of the past are revealed as they clash and examine their past relationships. The theater is one of six in the US selected to produce this new play.
Enchanted April a 1920s drama about the post war will run on April 25, May 1, 2, 8, 9 at 8 pm and April 26 and May 3 at 3 pm. Two housewives rent a villa in Italy and recruit two local women to share expenses for a holiday. They clash and bond until men upset the balance of their new relationships.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream from Shakespeare will be performed on June 13, 19, 20, 26, 27 at 8 pm and June 14 and 21 at 3 pm. The play focuses on romantic love being irrational and the line between fantasy and reality is blurred.
Refreshments are available at intermissions. Free parking is in the factory lot on same side of the theater. Printers design and provide brochure printing for productions like this.
