Rockfall Foundation celebrates landmark year in Middletown

The Rockfall Foundation will mark its 90th year with a commemorative gathering at Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown.

The evening will include live music, food, beverages, and exhibits from the Foundation’s 2025 grant recipients. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with local leaders, conservation advocates, and community supporters while exploring initiatives in environmental stewardship. The program will feature opening remarks, a keynote speech by Christine Palm, and the presentation of the Environmental Champion Awards.

Palm, former vice chair of the Connecticut House Environment Committee, will deliver the keynote address and obtain the President’s Award, an honor presented only once per decade. She is recognized for her work on climate education policy and for amplifying juvenile and underrepresented voices through advocacy initiatives.

The Environmental Champion Awards will highlight contributions to land conservation, environmental justice, and public awareness. Honorees include Bruce Dodson and Chet Arnold (recipients of the Tom Odell Distinguished Service Award), and Diana Martinez and Dick Shriver, who will receive Certificates of Environmental Achievement.

Tickets cost $90 for non-members and $75 for members of the Rockfall Foundation. Admission will cover all food and beverages.

Organizers may use flyer printing to distribute event details across community networks, helping expand participation and support for the Foundation’s work.

The 90th Anniversary Celebration will be held on Wednesday, October 8th, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at Wadsworth Mansion, 421 Wadsworth St, Middletown, Connecticut.
