Ekklesia Contemporary Ballet will stage its annual fundraising gala this spring with a theme inspired by classic cinema glamour. Titled the Old Hollywood Gala, the formal evening will combine dining, dance, and live music in support of the company’s artistic and educational programming.
The black-tie affair will feature a structured program beginning with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner stations and a staged dance presentation. Selections from the company’s repertoire will be performed live, highlighting signature works developed by the ensemble. Musical entertainment will be provided by Eight to the Bar, a Connecticut-based group known for swing-era standards. The evening will conclude with social dancing and a silent auction designed to generate additional financial support.
Organizers describe the gala as the organization’s primary annual fundraising initiative. Proceeds will be directed toward sustaining performance projects, arts education outreach, and community engagement efforts. The ballet company operates as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The event is open to guests 18 years of age or older.
General admission is priced at $135.23 per person, which includes a $125.00 ticket and $10.23 in fees. Sales remain available through the day of the event. No refunds will be issued.
