Middletown welcomes 39th annual celebration downtown

Downtown Middletown will transform into a festive winter destination as the 39th Annual Holiday on Main Street presents the “Magic of Middletown” event.

The monthlong celebration begins on November 29th, with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and continues with weekend events through December. On Saturday, November 30th, families can enjoy the “North Pole Comes to Middletown” activities, which include interactive performances and seasonal entertainment.

On December 7th, the annual Holiday Pop-Up Vendor Fair will offer an opportunity for visitors to shop from local artisans and small businesses. The following weekend, December 14th, the Holidays Around the World event will highlight global winter traditions, providing educational and cultural experiences for attendees. The celebration will conclude on Friday, December 20th, with the Dashing Through Downtown Decorated Vehicle Parade and Pub Crawl, offering both family-friendly and adult-focused festivities.

Parking for all events is free within the city lots, and visitors are encouraged to take advantage of this convenience. Santa’s Mailbox will be available at all eight local elementary schools and the Chamber of Commerce from November 25th to December 15th. Children are also welcome to drop off letters to Santa.

Event organizers may suggest that local businesses use flyer printing and other promotional materials to increase community awareness and participation.

Updates regarding cancellations or inclement weather will be published on the Holiday on Main listing, the Middlesex Chamber listing, as well as social media channels.

The celebration will occur on Fridays and Saturdays from November 29th through December 20th, along Main St in Middletown, Connecticut.
