All locals are welcome to be part of a hands-on environmental stewardship activity next month, and a special gift will be given to each set of helping hands to thank them for their efforts.
The goal of the project, which has been organized and sponsored by Cinder + Salt, will be to clean up as much litter as possible from the streets of Middletown.
Once they have reported for duty at Cinder + Salt, which is located at 520 Main Street, the helpers will be given the supplies they need to complete the project. Participants are reminded to bring along sunscreen and a water bottle, and a hat may also come in handy. Light refreshments will be provided, and all ages are encouraged to get involved.
To thank the participants for their support and hard work, they will each receive a T-shirt that has been printed with the event’s Logo Design. To ensure a good fit, each person who registers will be contacted about their shirt size and other details about one week before the scheduled date for the cleanup.
Saturday, July 27 has been set as the date for this grassroots environmental activity, and it is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am. In case of inclement weather, the activity will be postponed until the day after, July 28.
