The MRC Winter Track Showcase is set to take place this January in Middletown.
This event will entail a variety of track-only races. It will emphasize community spirit, affordability, and broad accessibility, aligning with MRC's mission to make track and field events inclusive.
The program will open with the girls' 1-mile run. This race will be followed by a series of races: 1,000 meters, 60 meters, 600 meters, 200 meters, and 3,000 meters. Races will be organized according to age, with girls running first, then by boys, ladies, and men. Genders and heats may be combined for distance races, ensuring efficiency and inclusivity.
Race outcomes will be available 24 to 48 hours post-meet.
Originally scheduled for January 12th, the event was rescheduled because of a dispute. The showcase offers free entry for athletes under 18, while Interested adults can participate for a fee of $16.90, which includes a processing charge.
