Middletown to hold family day and fall festival

Two special events will be coming to Middletown next month.

Poster printing is often used to promote such events throughout a community and surrounding areas.

The 14th annual Middletown Family Day will be held at Second Beach and presented by the Middletown Prevention Coalition.

Activities at Family Day will include old-fashioned games, face painting, a bouncy house and an inflatable obstacle course, Touch-a-Truck, and a rock-climbing wall. There will be food trucks, as well as S’mores kits for sale. DanceForce will have music, prizes, and many family-friendly activities. Middletown Family Day will be held on Saturday, October 7 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

The James L. Maher Center will be hosting a Fall Festival, a family friendly event with many activities for people of all ages. Among the activities will be make your own scarecrow, pumpkin painting and face painting, apple dipping, games for the kids, and a demonstration from a fire prevention smoke truck.

Children can dress in their favorite costumes to enjoy the parade, which will get underway at 1:00pm. There will be over 20 food truck vendors selling items to keep attendees fueled. The Maher Garden Center will be open and selling gourds, mums, pumpkins, and more. This festival will be held at the James L. Maher Center on Aquidneck Avenue from 10:00am until 3:00pm on Saturday, October 21.
