Law enforcement personnel form across the state of Connecticut will be heading to Middletown this fall for an event that will both pay tribute to their fallen comrades and focus attention on the challenges that can come with the career.
The public is welcome to show their support by joining or spectating, and there will be lots of fun to be had.
This year will be the 10th for the CT Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Run, and the 5k race is open to all, whether they run walk or roll along with the assistance of a wheelchair or other mobility device. The course will be certified, and the event will open with a warm up session before the group hits the road.
Once they reach the finish line, the participants will be treated to music and some light refreshments. Awards will be presented to the law enforcement office and team with the fastest time, and the fastest K9 officer will also be recognized.
The organizers of the function remarked that each of the runners who preregister for the day will receive a technical shirt. Promotional Products like these can both show appreciation to the events supporters and spread awareness about the cause.
This rain or shine activity will be held at The Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate. Its set date is October 27.
