The Middletown Lions Club will be 85 years old next month, and plans are underway to hold a big celebration. A birthday dinner will be held with two stand-up comedians providing the entertainment.
The festivities will take place here in Middletown at the Falcons Grove, located on Prout Hill Road. Dinner will consist of an Italian-style buffet. Laughs will be supplied by Jon Fisch and Quentin Heggs, both of whom are New England-based.
Fisch was among those selected as Comedy Central's Fresh Face of Comedy and has appeared on the ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ and ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’. Heggs has opened for such big names as Tim Allen, Rosie O'Donnell, Regis Philbin, and Ray Romano.
Chartered on May 28, 1929, The Middletown Lions Club has spent the last 85 years serving the community in a variety of ways. Such civic organizations have numerous situations in which printing services are required. When raising funds for one of their many projects, Flyers, Brochures, or Banners are often needed to announce an event and educate the public.
The celebration takes place on May 10 and ticket costs are $35 per person or $60 per couple. Both former and present Lions members are welcome, as is anyone associated with the group.
