The “2024 Connecticut Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Run” is set to take place at the end of this month.
This 5K event will unite law enforcement personnel, survivors, and advocates from across the state in aid of two significant causes: the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) and the Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS).
The proceeds from the run will go towards maintaining the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, conducting ongoing research, and providing education. Additionally, funds will support various programs, counseling services, and resources for survivors of fallen officers, ensuring that their service and sacrifice are remembered and honored.
Participants will tackle the certified 3.1-mile course and enjoy music and refreshments after completing the race. Awards will be presented to top finishers in various categories, including the fastest law enforcement officer, the fastest law enforcement team, and the fastest K9 officer.
The event will take place regardless of weather conditions, so participants are advised to prepare accordingly. All signups are final, with no refunds offered. For more details, including course information and race updates, participants are encouraged to visit the events listing.
The cost to attend the event will be $35.98 for adults and $15 for individuals 14 years and under. Tickets can be purchased through the Eventbrite listing.
Poster printing can be used to inform the community of events such as this one.
The date of the run will be September 29th, starting at 10 am at The Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate, 421 Wadsworth St Middletown, Connecticut.
