Middletown hosting Halloween costume drive

As not all families can afford to purchase a costume at Halloween, Middletown Parks and Recreation Department has created an initiative that can help.

The community has put out a call to all its households who might have gently used Halloween costumes they would like to donate. Everyone is asked to dig into their closets and storage bins, and all donations will be appreciated.

When the Parks and Recreation staff receive a donation, it will be catalogued and stored for distribution, and the plan is for them to be handed out right before Halloween arrives. This way, all local kids can join the fun that can go along with trick or treating and their parents can save a little bit of money as well. All costumes will be appreciated, and the more sizes and styles are contributed to the effort, the more children will have a reason to smile.

An initiative like this can be an easy way for families to give back to their community while tidying out their closets. A poster printing company can help to let the public know how and when they can participate in this sort of donation drive.

The Middletown Parks and Recreation Department will be accepting costume drop-offs until October 1. They can be donated at 61 Durant Ter, and additional details about the program can be found online.
